destiny...

Allah destiny...
no one knows what He sets for us...
just accept it willingly
although it brings deep sorrow and emptiness in our life
first it's my tok abah,
then its khairul...
right now, i feel numb in my life...
but i accept it...
may Allah protect you always...
soon or later, we'll meet...
al-Fatihah...

RAYA FESTIVE

I am so thrilled and excited due to Raya is just behind the corner... I will be celebrating my Raya in Johor with my father family. So, that mean I need to bake a lot of Raya cookies as Raya celebration in my nenek Johor is so happening. All my father sibling are going back to Johor. I can imagine the cheerful laugh and chatter my family make when they gather as we are a close family. In addition, my nenek house is located in front of a beach. Beautiful, lovely beach that I learn how to swim in it. Plus, the beach is quite secluded from other houses and has the most beauty view in the kampung. So, can swim as long as I want without strangers watching and staring. I can't wait to hear the Raya song my grandmother would played in order to wake all of her grandchildren. All the dish of the day, she would make it her own. Her finger licking rendang, kuih, lemang, nut gravy (kuah kacang). And her perasak (traditional Bugist rice - like lemang except it is boiled or steamed in bananas leaf) is killer. The fragrance and taste is just making me wants to go to Johor right now. I too can imagine myself and my cousins taking a dip in the warm beach water. And don't start with the Raya money. As my father family relatives are so many, means that I will get a lot of Raya money collection this year. And in village, every year we would have a firecracker fight with the next village and usually we win. We can be quite adventurous with the firecracker. The firecracker sound would continues up until 1 am the night before Raya. Definitely Raya is the best moment that I will cherish forever. Raya has been so exciting since I was little and until now. The only festive that I have been waiting every year to celebrated.

dumping...

My heart aches as I read the Internet articles on baby dumping and infanticides. Especially in Malaysia, which the majority is Muslim. Why are they doing something that is revolting and against Islam. Surely the couples knew about the sins before indulging in immorale activities. In my opinion, baby dumping happens because the couples are ashamed and try to cover what they have done. In most cases the male couple do not want to take the responsibility of what he had done. But none of these is an excuse for baby dumping. Currently, the government is setting up a baby dumping centre in order to help unmarried mother to care for the baby. For me, building this centre will only make things easier for the couples to indulge in more immorale activities. As an Islamic country, we should try to curb this problem at the root. Both government, parents and scholars should guide young childrens the true Islamic way about the sins, rewards and Islamic rules. Parents should take serious role in preventing their children from involving with social problem especially when they are in Universities and college, as we can see many couples were dating in dark area and none of the people who sees these didn't care and assume this phenomenon as norm. All in all, we could curb this problem by emphasizing on Islamic teaching, parents controls who listen to their children need and the government should not give too much aid as this couple should learn their lesson and take their responsibility so that they will eventually take lesson and this will yield a better generation ahead.

Animals

Reading through old newspaper on animal kept in zoo really weeps my heart. Thousands of animals are captured or bred in captivity and kept in zoos all over the world so that human may look at them. Many of these animal are not native to the countries and have to adapt in their adoption countries. Animals belong in the wild, except for domestic animals, and it is clear that animal in the zoos, if allowed to make a choice, would rather live in their natural habitat. Keeping them in a zoo is akin to keeping them in prison. Still there is a couple of reasons for keeping animals in zoo. Animals born in captivity may not be able to survive in the wilds and have a better chance of living in zoos. Also, quite a few animals are in danger of extinction at the moment and breeding them in captivating, in zoos, may be the only way to save them. As much as possible animals should not be kept in captivity; they should be allowed to roam free. If at all we keep them in zoos, to save the animals, then we must make every attempt to ensure thet the zoos are as close as possible to - if not exact replicas of - their natural habitat. Also, zoos should not train animals to act; it should be enough that they charge visitors to look at them. But this is unavoidable since zoos need funds to operate.

tiring..

This week has been very tiring for me and I believe all of my classmates feels the same too. I think the adjusting period on the new shcedule are always tiring as we are not use to the routine yet. On the first of August, I only have to attend one classes that ends in the morning. Then I do some Internet searching to find information on my assignments, which is three assignments overall. At the end of next day, I thought my body were going to shutdown. This is the most tiring day of the week as I have classes including kitchen that starts early in the morning and ends at night. We have to prepare stocks that takes about four hours and half to get the finish product. Later we have prepare many types of mother sauce which one of it is so difficult to get the textures, its body, consistency and of course the delightful taste. Imagine that you could only stand for hours in the kitchen as sitting are not allowed in kitchen as it will cause a distruption in movement of other people. Luckily I only have to attend my Kesatria and one night class. What makes me get through this week is that there is so many interesting activity here in UiTM. All the excitement of the sports event and blood donor activities makes me excited that i want to join all the activities. I guess this is what making me active and suvive all this month by keeping myself busy. When you are busy and have a lot to think of, tired and bad day seems minor. So my stand now is that i'll keep myself busy so I won't have the time to pity myself. chaiyokkk mz..
